2000 AD - Wireheads
Wireheads was one of 2000 ADs first cyberpunk outings. Written around 1990, Wireheads featured a grim future dominated by massive corporations and the virtual world of paraspace.
The strip was a roller coaster ride in and out of paraspace, around the Earth and even to the Moon as one man fought against deadly corporations to save humanity, and one unfortunate girl in particular, from certain doom.
Wireheads pre-dated the rise of the Internet. It was multilayered and information rich featuring outstanding full colour artwork by (the legendary) Mike Hadley.
